Happy Old School Friday! The Jacksons were/are the epitome of an entertainment family…both what is right and wrong. Extremely talented, extremely good looking, and oh-so dysfunctional.

I was wandering through YouTube-land, looking for vids and came across this one…look at how absolutely adorable Michael was!

It’s easy to focus on Michael and Janet (the stars of the family), but the talent in this family did not end with them…no, there is more!

  • "Blame It On The Boogie" - one of my favs. Oh Michael...lol

Right. Umm...where was I? Oh yes, Marlon. Geezum, when I started my search outside of the "famous" bunch, I got stuck on Jermaine...lol
  • Happy OSF to you!

Ah it is on and poppin! This is a great choice for today's theme.

    Great choices Marvalus One!
  • Blame it on the Boogie was the cut! I was so busy listening to this and commenting on other sites in another window I almost forgot to leave on here. :-)
  • I missed "Don't Go" when it was first out. I guess it was because I was working a lot and not watching many music videos. I'm pretty sure the local R&B; station wasn't playing it either. Anyway, not a bad song... I'm glad I got a chance to hear it.
  • I didn't even know Marlon had his own song.

The Jackson 5 are always on point with their music.

    Have a good weekend.
  • ohhhhh, You made my day with Blame It On the Boogie. I really needed that this morning! Thank you! We've really come a long way in video technology. lol
  • Blame it on the Boogie was one of my favorite Jackson tunes. Good choice.
  • Yes, he was adorable and so hugely talented - I always prefer to remember him this way now.

When you see my OSF you might ask, Ben? Why did she choose BEN? Curious? Find out why here.
  • Marlon who? Are you sure this is not the Wayans? I don't even think I know all the members of this family. All I know is that I have never heard these songs.

It's official, I don't know much about the Jackson 5, except for Michael and Janet solo careers, plus one song by Jermaine.

"Blame It On The Boogie" is such a fun song. I almost got up and started dancing. Happy OSF!
  • Blame it On the Boogie. Ooooh, there's so cute! My older cousin was crazy about Jackie.

I remember that Marlon song. Janet and Michael overshadowed everybody else, but I remember Jermaine hitting his stride for a while.

Thanks for the memories with this theme. You two do a great job choosing those.
  • I commented earlier on the selections, but Marvalus, how do you get added to the list of participants, the long one on about OSF and the one that follows posts sometimes?
  • Blame it on the boogie is classic!
  • Blame it On the Boogie is one of my jams, but I had no idea there was any such Marlon song. Lord...lol
  • Hey Marvalus.

I dug "Blame It On the Boogie" a lot, and I remember it well, but the real happy surprise here fror me was Marlon's tune! I had never heard that one before, and that slow kinda funk groove he had goin' on was hittin it. Much more my kinda style. Had some chicken grease on it!

Thanks much for the discovery, and Happy OSF!
  • I didn't even know dude cut a record all his own. I knew of Jermaine and a couple of his hits, but not Marlon. Thanks, again, for putting me on.

Blame It On The Boogie...Classic J5!

Marlon? Never knew he did a single. Learn something new everyday!
  • I missed it this week I came here for the concert. I enjoyed the vids. I know more of Michael alone that the Jackson's as a team.
  • I remember hearing that Marlon song once or twice, not bad. Of course Joe was busy cashing in on the cash cow (that would be Michael) to really do it any justice.

The Jackson Family is chock full of talent, just as time went on some of that "talent" went horribly wrong!

Remember 3T (Tito's sons who formed a group)? They did better over seas then they did in the states. I think they had 2 or 3 albums.
