Next…Secrets of My Past (from Iriegal)…uh oh…

Here are the rules:

  1. Link to the person who tagged you.
  2. Post the rules on your blog.
  3. Write six random things about yourself.
  4. Tag people at the end of your post and link to them.
  5. Let each person know they’ve been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
  6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

Here goes:

  1. Yeah, I used to smoke weed…I was going through a phase. I can say I did it and moved on…
  2. I’ve been celibate for exactly 2 years…
  3. I had a one night stand with this dude who I knew nothing about…it was not worth my time and when he called again, I never answered the phone.
  4. I have never had a physical fight in my life.
  5. I used to hate my name…I used to want to change my name to “Monica” when I was younger because I didn’t know anyone else named “Marva”…now, I wouldn’t have it any other way…
  6. I’m anal about a lot of things…I brush my teeth twice a day, I have to balance my checkbook every night, and clean my desk at work before leaving…things have to be a certain way in order for me to function…

OK, that’s it…everyone enjoy your Saturday and The10Spot will be back in full effect next week!

  • Lol, I picked Tsotsi, Queen of the Damned, Zebrahead too.
  • Dee
MsMarvalus, you have a wonderful name. I had a best friend growing up named marva. She called herself MARVALUS (different spelling too!)

I was once celibate for 7 years..sigh..(I also gained a lot of weight) during that time, but it was empowering for me. Less drama. Thank you so much for sharing just a little bit of yourself to us...one beautiful woman....onelove
  • Hi Marva! I miss you sharing lessons you've learned. You have alot of wisdom to offer. Celibacy; yes, I know about that. My Aunt cured me of smoking at a very young age by letting me inhale her cigarette and me coughing to death. LOL

I hope you feel better.
  • DB
    what...for "O" I would have put Oceans 11.

maybe I'll bite you and IW and do one of mine
  • SjP
    Hope you're feeling better. You know I like the G - Godfather I & II. I would add III. I'm a fanatic!
  • Marvalus
Mike - Those were the only ones I could think of with those letters...luckily, I've seen them, so we're cool

Danielle - Hey lady! I know...I've been thinking a lot about that lately...you may see it come back...

Unfortunately, I only got rid of the pot...the cigarettes are another issue!

DB - I forgot about Oceans 11...but I like An Officer And A Gentleman...

    SjP - I feel better...thanks! I could watch Godfather I & II all day...III? not so much...
  • LOL!! I have that same desk issue! It must be a Scorpio thing! I watched Kill Bill 1 & 2 on TV last night!
    Hope you feel better.
  • Oh I almost forgot,
When you get a chance I tagged you at my spot. It's an easy one!
  • I don't know why it's taking me so long to see Tsotsi--I hear so many good things about it. On my must see this week, if 2 of my favorite bloggers like it :-)
  • I can see that you and I could have a really cool movie marathon. Whenever I think of "American History X", I think of the scene with Edward Norton, the black guy, and the curb... shudder!

For the Postman Always Rings Twice, is that the orig. with John Garfield and Lana Turner or the remake with Jack Nicholson and Jessica Lange? I've seen the excellent original version, but not the remake.
  • Wow, what a great list of movies! I think there are 3 on your list that I have not seen. And I mean come on now, you started with one of my absolutely favorites "American History X." It can't get any better than that for me. The writing in that movie was exceptional.

I hope you feel MARVALUS dear lovely. Get well soon! :)
