Hello everyone…my stomach is just in knots about tomorrow…TOMORROW!!! It is finally here.

First, let me send my condolences out to That One and his family about his grandmother’s passing. I prayed that she would stay to see her grandson win the election, but I like to think that she found some peace in knowing that she raised a great man, no matter what happens.

I could barely contain myself today…I was a bundle of nerves; I couldn’t sit still, kept checking MSNBC.com for updates (and that’s today…guess what tomorrow is going to be like?), and was just on edge. We got into this huge discussion about how to handle the employees and their schedules and going to vote, etc…no worries for me there; I have the day off. I find a little relaxation this evening in Keith Olbermann’s Campaign Comment in which he asks the question: what if it had been That One who pushed all the bullshit that The Old Dude had? It was excellent, and when I find it on video, I will post it here.

Update: Here you go…

I was on Huffington Post (I’m totally addicted) and I ran across a pictorial that I could relate to. It is a picture of Tears for Obama…I have cried more during this campaign, been touched by the sheer historic nature of it all, and most of all, inspired by the coming together of all kinds of people for this one moment…and I wouldn’t take any of it back. Here’s the link:

Tears For Obama

 Lastly, a little release

  • I was doing more than my share of pacing leading up to Obama's victory. I caught the Keith Olbermann piece the other night and thought it was right on point. It reminded me of an email I received that posed some "what if" questions about this year's President race. If you haven't seen it and would like to, let me know and I will forward it to you.
  • I KNOW YOU ARE EXCITED JUST LIKE ME, TODAY IS THE DAY. VOTE! HISTORY WILL BE MADE.
  • @everyone....dang this election got folks under some serious ass pressure!

i think the only thing i can do on this day is buy some new cd's (raphael saadiq and q-tip to name 2) and stay in the house after my vote. either that or potentially punch somebody in the face, haha!

(can you tell my zen focus is nowhere to be found today?)

Girl...I had to leave work today cause i just couldn't take it anymore. Took E-Day and the day after off cause no matter what happens I won't be able to do a damn thing on my side of the plantation. Right now, I know I should go to bed and get some rest cause I'll be hanging go vote reminders at 0'dark-thirty in the morning. I just can't take it. Worst that being a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for some big jolly white guy to come down the chimney with toys. Help me...I'm rambling... relax...relate...release...that didn't work either!

Anyway, One down and a whole lot more to go!
  • I am going to try to sleep the night through.

Hey Coop! I'm doing the same thing tomorrow...getting an early start (my shift is over at 10) and I think I'll come home, take a nap, then escape inside a dark theatre myself (thanks for the idea!)...

Otherwise, I think I will drive myself nuts! :???:
  • yeah I just want to vomit. I'm driving people to the polls much of the day and was thinking of just going into Ot a movie theater after that, and not coming out until after midnight.
