I KNOW you saw Michelle last night…I was totally impressed with her speech. Now the haters and naysayers will say that her speech was well-prepared and that it was full of air; I say blow it out of your ass. What I saw was a wife who loved her husband and her family, who even though she shouldn’t have to, did indeed put forth her words to dismiss this inane notion that she is un-American and non-patriotic. I saw a mother who loves her children (who, by the way are just too adorable for words!) and wants the best for them (don’t we all?). And I saw a woman who was strong and incredibly loyal to all those around her.

I am proud of her and look forward to her being our First Lady.

p.s. I’m watching HRC and she is delivering it…I think she’s earning back some points with me…

  • i too was very impressed by michelle's speech and delivery. she spoke with strong support, conviction, and passion and you gotta love a woman of color that can do that and do so gracefully. i know barack was proud to see her because i sure was.

  • It was indeed a fabulous speech. I happen to have had to go to a meeting for my job which included a lot of what one might call "good old boy republicans"( a fund raising meeting). There was some conversation among these people - many who could be quoted as saying" it's not my party I'm not watching the convention".

    Among that group, those who watched her speech were quite impressed with her, so I would assume that those of her party who were not inclined to vote for Obama could certainly have been swayed by her speech.

    I haven't seen HRC's message yet...I'll have to peep her out too.

    Great speech from Michelle. I knew she would be wonderful. HRC did what she had to do. Don't trust her or her husband and never will again after their stunts this political season.
  • I agree with sdg1844 on her Hillary comment! Hillary is campaigning for 2012...
    But anyway Madame First Lady to be did a magnificent job!

    How can anyone who has a heart and soul not love First Lady Michelle Obama? The Whitehouse will never again be the same the day after President Barack Obama and his beautiful Queen step into their destiny.
