Marvalus, I totally agree with you. I have never understood the appeal of this cat. And don’t blame the age, garbage is garbage regardless of age group. I liked two songs, that “duffle bag boy” song where he sang the hook — and I only liked the hook for that song. The rest of the song was a hot mess. The other song was off a mix tape “Georgia…bush” a post katrina song where he rips president bush. Take a listen here. Other than that he’s all bitches, guns, drugs and money to me. This is what passes for the best of hip-hop? I’ll be listening to Stankonia…stank you very much.

@Urban Thought – You know, he did have one song that I liked; I can’t even remember what that was…but I seriously was left with my jaw hanging open while listening to this CD…I only made it through 4 tracks…

For every lousy CD/Artist is a great one who is either underground or isn’t getting enough press.

It appears that you are aware of the rappers/hip-hop artists that have lyrics that make you think. You are away of the club bangers. I’ll say that Wayne has some. And if you get past his voice, those lyrics then the beats are good.

But I feel you. I see the words on the screen and all I can do is nod my head in agreement. Gosh… this is what they call music. His voice is damn annoying.

Great review. I’ll be sure not to put any money down.
