If you watched the debate the other night, then you know what an outright and utter indecent 1 ½ hour of television it was. The next day, Senator Barack Obama (damn, I like this dude!) was at a rally in North Carolina where he said that you have to just let shit like what was thrown at him roll off; kind of “brushing the dust off your shoulders.” Of course, you know the YouTubers got a hold of this and went absolutely nuts! Here are some of my faves that I have seen on Jack & Jill Politics, O Hell Nawl, other sites, and just perusing YouTube on my own…

These vids caused me to laugh out loud because I watched that so-called debate…it was a travesty. And I happen to like seeing Barack exhibit his swagger e’ry now and then.

It’s all love… Kisses

  • Pretty cool, huh? I thought so too...
  • The videos are well done. I enjoyed 'em all.
  • Mahogany - You sure didn't miss much...that debate was terrible...these vids were the best things to come out of it...

    Thanks!
  • I enjoyed this. I didn't get to watch much of the debate. I was at work . I love Obama myself. Great post...
  • DB - Thanks...those vids are creative, aren't they? I love it when Hip Hop is used for good, not evil!
  • i love it!!

    excellent post girl
  • Hey O! You are so right...I love this video because it demonstrates to me that he is aware, that he knows and sees, yet chooses to take a higher road...I like that in him!
  • I think Barack Obama has really captured the attention and has motivated young black voters. Politics is so important and I am so pleased that young African Americans are focusing on the political process now. It is really critical to take a stand. Barack is demonstrating young blacks can dream and smash the glass ceiling. I also like the video too, Barack is right you have to brush the haters off your shoulders.
  • Shazzer - Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the link!

What trueness in that article! I totally agree with Michael A.'s assessment...yaah trick, yaah! tee hee hee...the absurdity is obscene...
  • I too enjoy the videos, but I am starting to get more wrapped up in the jokes than the real issues at hand.

Read how writer Michael Arceneaux expresses his thoughts on the presence of Hip Hop in the '08 campaign in his article, "Don't Get Out The Vote. Na'mean?" at newsone.com

  • I think so too...people are motivated and energized (including myself) and I love that!

The videos made my night last night...just great!

    Your welcome...anytime!
  • I have to say that this is the most creative election process that I have ever experienced.

Obama girls, You Tube videos, stars getting together to produce election singles. I think it is wonderful.

With that sad, I must say that people are very creative. All the time it must have taken to find the proper photos and put them in such a profound order to get the message out to the people. And a song, that has already been in the market, to convey the message so clearly.

I love creative folk. The gift is wonderful.

Thx for the vids. They made my morning.
