It is finally Friday and a four-day holiday weekend for me (yippee!)…I am so looking forward to spending time with my family, wrapping up these last few gifts, then watching my son unwrap his on Tuesday morning…that makes it all worthwhile for me!

You Feelin’ Froggy?—I don’t like those damn PETA people, I think it’s a cult. The way they go around throwing paint on fur coats and their attitude with the dog fighting and Michael Vick make me sick; after they do their protests and shit, I bet they go and eat double cheeseburgers…but check this out, if they even think about messing with a sista’s chinchilla or mink, they best think again…especially if that sista is Mary J. Blige or Patti LaBelle…Mary J. and Patti were at Mary J.’s album release party ROCKIN’ some furs…Mary was asked about her fur and she said…I quote:

“Those PETA people don’t want to mess with me, they don’t want to throw paint on my coat because it’s not just going to be throwing paint. It’s going to be Mary in the news the next day, you know what I mean? What gives them the right to destroy someone’s coat because their opinion is that you shouldn’t wear animals? The Queen Is the new Face of Jenny Craig—Queen Latifah has joined the Jenny Craig craze and will be the new face beginning in January. For someone who has celebrated her plus-sized figure over the years, this may come as a shock to some…I say, change is good for the soul; if it is good for you Queen, then Godspeed…maybe this will encourage Black folks to join Jenny too…
